EIT Urban Mobility joins transport leaders in urging EU to preserve a strong transport budget
Published on February 11, 2025
EIT Urban Mobility has joined 45 leading transport organisations in calling on EU Finance Ministers to safeguard a dedicated European transport budget.
In an open letter, the signatories warn that redirecting transport funds to national plans risks weakening Europe’s infrastructure, competitiveness, and resilience. They stress the need for a centrally coordinated, long-term investment strategy to ensure efficient, sustainable, and interconnected transport networks.
EIT Urban Mobility stands with the sector in advocating for a strong EU transport budget that drives economic growth, cohesion, and innovation.
