Journal of Urban Mobility now among top cited publications in its field

Published on July 3, 2025

The Journal of Urban Mobility, launched under the EIT Urban Mobility Doctoral Training Network (DTN), has seen its Impact Factor increase from 2.7 to 6.1, a major jump that places it in the top quartile (Q1) in three key subject categories: GeographyRegional & Urban Planning, and Transport.

This Impact Factor reflects how often a journal’s articles are cited in other research, showcasing the journal’s growing importance and influence in the academic and practitioner communities.

Fully open-access and cross-disciplinary in scope, the Journal of Urban Mobility provides a platform for academics, practitioners, businesses, and city leaders to advance research and innovation in sustainable urban mobility.

Since its launch, it has published over 115 articles across seven volumes, including special issues on themes such as the 15-Minute CityStreet Experiments, and Knowledge-Based Urban Mobility Solutions.

The journal is fast becoming a go-to source for cutting-edge research on sustainable urban mobility, and continues to establish itself as a key reference in the field, contributing to the broader mission of accelerating the transition towards more liveable urban environments.
